STU/ST/BS/BC Bore pump troubleshooting
Malfunction Routine/Cause | Solutions |
Open phase(3 phase) Y connection→burns 2 wires. △connection→burns 1 wire. |
|
3 phase current is not stable, only 2 of 3 phase wires are normal. |
|
Capacity is decreased or it can’t pump water or current is small. |
Impeller, pump bearing and motor bearing wore out. |
Motor fan rotate direction is wrong or capacity is decreased or it can’t pump water. |
If you are using 3 phase motor, you can change any 2 of 3phase wires. It will return to normal. |
The voltage or frequency is low that will cause motor speed, head and capacity to decrease. |
Checks voltage or frequency. If necessary, please contact motor supplier to fix it. |
Capacity is not stable. | Increases the length of discharge pipeline and submerges the pump into lower water level. If both methods still can’t improve, you can close gate valve a little bit in order to make suction capacity and discharge capacity to be the same. |
The cable or motor wiring insulation breaks down | Closes the power. Uses high resistance meter to test motor and cable. If the motor is malfunction, it needs to be send back to the supplier. |
The pump can’t start. The current is high. | Send it back to the factory for repair. |
Start switch or relay is malfunctioned. Fuse or overload protector is too small. | Replaces or adjusts it. |
The power is off or voltage is wrong. | Uses volmeter to check its voltage value and rated value differences. It can’t exceed +5% or -5%. |
