VS Inverter pump troubleshooting

Unusual phenomenon	Malfunction Routine/Cause	Solutions
The pump can’t start	Power is not turn on Connects to wrong voltage. Pressure sensor is broken. Inverter is burned up. Capacitor is burned up. Motor wiring is burned up.	Re-connects the power again. Test and make sure it’s the right voltage. Replaces it. Replaces it Replaces it. Makes sure there’s no voltage drops on the site. Replaces it.
On/Off frequently	Diaphragm inside pressure tank is broken. Check valve is hardened or stuck. There is air inside the pump. Discharge pipeline has leakage.	Replaces it. Replaces it. Opens check valve lid and discharges the air. Checks for leakage in the pipeline.
Motor is running, but capacity is small	Impeller is damaged. Air is inside the pump. Actual performance can’t reach customer requirement. Pipeline or valve leakages.	Changes impeller Opens drain plug anddischarges the air. Changes to a bigger horsepower pump. Checks for leakage in the pipeline or valve.
After it starts for a while, it stops immediately	Abnormal voltage. Impeller is stuck with obstacle. When water shortage occurs, pump will stop automatically.	voltage. Dismantles pump and cleans impeller. Restarts the pump when water returns.(Right graph-restart)
The pump is unable to stop	Pressure sensor is broken Inverter pressure setting is too high. It might be higher than max. head that this pump can reach.	Replaces it. Adjusts pressure setting from inverter panel.
The current is too high	Bearing is broken Obstacle inside the pump Motor reverse phase Abnormal voltage	Replaces bearing Dismantles and cleans It Replaces 2 wires in 3 phase wires. Checks voltage.
