V Auto Booster Pump Troubleshooting

※ If troubleshooting or maintenance is needed, please contact professional technician or plumber.
※ Please make sure the power is turn off before you start repair or dismantle the pump.

Unusual phenomenon Malfunction Routine/Cause  Solutions
The pump can’t start or after it starts, it will stop immediately
  1. Power is not turn on or the cable is not plug in.
  2. Connects to wrong voltage.
  3. The shaft is stuck due to dust inside the pump.
  4. Thermal protector is broken.
  5. Capacitor is burned up.
  6. Motor wiring is burned up.
  7. Pressure switch is malfunction.
  8. Motor protector forces the motor to turn off.
  1. Re-connects the power again.
  2. Test  and make sure it’s the right voltage.
  3. Rotates the shaft from the back of motor.
  4. Replaces it
  5. Replaces it. Makes sure there’s no voltage drops on the site.
  6. Replaces it.
  7. Replaces it.
  8. Waits until the motor temperature has dropped down to normal temp.
 On/Off frequently
  1. Pressure switch is broken
  2. Diaphragm inside pressure tank is broken.
  3. Shaft of check valve is hardened.
  4. There is air inside the pump.
  5. Discharge pipeline has leakage.
  1. .Adjusts or replaces it.
  2. Replaces it.
  3. Replaces it.
  4. Opens check valve lid and discharges the air.
  5. Checks for leakage in the pipeline.
Motor is running, but capacity is small
  1. Impeller is damaged.
  2. Air is inside the pump.
  3. Actual performance can’t reach customer requirement.
  4. Pipeline leakages.
  1. Changes impeller
  2. Opens drain plug and discharges the air.
  3. Changes to a bigger horsepower pump.
  4. Checks for leakage in the pipeline.
Motor is running, but there is no water (used for underground water)
  1. Suction lift requirement is too high.
  2. Foot valve is leaking or it didn’t submerge under water level.
  3. User didn’t fill water into the pump.
  4. Suction pipeline is leaking or stuck by something else.
  1. Changes a new pump with better suction lift performance.
  2. Replaces or adjusts foot valve and the depth.
  3. Fills water into the pump.
  4. Changes pipeline and cleans obstacle.
Motor casing is overheated
  1.  Voltage is not normal
  2. 24hrs continuous operation
  1.  Improves local site power source.
  2. Stops the pump, and try to avoid continuous operation.
Motor is producing loud noise
  1.  Bearing is broken
  2. Obstacle inside the pump
  1.  Replaces bearing
  2. Dismantles and cleans it
